  8. Zip Control is a OS/2 32-bit threaded PM program which provides "point & click" 
  9. access to Zip and UnZip. Info-ZIP's freeware programs Zip.exe and UnZip.exe are 
  10. used by many OS/2 users to manage .zip archives. Zip and UnZip are command line 
  11. programs which create and unzip archive files which are compatible with the 
  12. PKWare PkZip and PkUnZip 2.04g programs. Additionally, the Info-ZIP programs 
  13. support OS/2's long file names and extended attributes.

  15. Zip Control features: 
  16.  
  17.      View the list of files contained in a .zip file. 
  18.      View the contents of one or more files which are contained in the .zip 
  19.       file. The "view" function respects the WorkPlace Shell "associations." 
  20.      Print a contained file, including 2-up printing. 
  21.      Sort contained files by a combination of date, name, and path. 
  22.      Find and highlight files based on search text. 
  23.      Extract one or more files, define target directory during extract. 
  24.      Drag and drop files from .zip file to folder or Desktop. 
  25.      Drag and drop files and/or folders from Desktop and folders to Zip 
  26.       Control to create or add to .zip file or to open the .zip file. 
  27.      Delete selected files from archive. 
  28.      Add one or more files to archive. 
  29.      Change default extract or add options/modifiers at action time.

  58.  Zip and UnZip are freeware products of Info-ZIP. Zip Control is a copyrighted 
  59.  software product of RPF Software. Info-ZIP and RPF Software are independent 
  60.  organizations.

  62.  Zip Control only works with the OS/2 versions of Zip.exe and UnZip.exe, 
  63.  versions 2.01 and 5.1 (or higher), respectively.

  65.  Future updates to Zip Control may be available at the sites specified in the 
  66.  ReadMe.doc file.

  68.  Zip Control is copyrighted software, it is NOT PUBLIC DOMAIN, it is NOT FREE. 
  69.  You are encouraged to use an Evaluation copy of it for a reasonable evaluation 
  70.  period (21 days) to see if it is software which is helpful to you and which 
  71.  you wish to continue using. If you do decide to continue using Zip Control, 
  72.  you MUST license Zip Control by filling out the form in Order.doc and sending 
  73.  it along with the license fee or payment information to RPF Software or to one

  116. The Options - General page of the Settings notebook defines default options 
  117. used by Zip Control. 
  118.  
  119.           "Hide buttons (expert)" will hide all of Zip Control's main window 
  120.            except for the title bar and the list box. The main window will be 
  121.            resized to be the same size as the list box. The window (and list 
  122.            box) will be re-sizable. 
  123.  
  124.            When "Hide buttons" is active, less Desktop space will be used.  Use 
  125.            the "accelerator keys" to perform Open, New, etc., or use the pop-up 
  126.            menu.  The pop-up menu (right mouse button click in the Zip Control 
  127.            window) shows the available accelerator keys. 
  128.  
  129.            The accelerator key "Ctrl-H" toggles between the minimized "expert" 
  130.            mode and the standard Zip Control main window. 
  131.  
  132.           "Minimize active window while processing" causes the active window, 
  133.            e.g., the UnZip window, to be minimized while the unzip is in 
  134.            process. A small progress window will be displayed in a corner of 
  135.            the screen. This frees up screen "real estate" during long 
  136.            processing, e.g., large zips or unzips. 
  137.  
  138.            Once the process completes, the active window, if minimized, will be 
  139.            restored to the size and location it was before being minimized. 
  140.  
  141.           "Display progress window even if not minimized" forces the progress 
  142.            window to be displayed during an "action" even if the action window 
  143.            is not to be minimized during processing.

  145.           "Extended selection" sets the default list box selection mode to 
  146.            Extended.  Otherwise, the selection mode is Multiple. 
  147.  
  148.            "Extended" selection allows the selection (highlighting) of one or 
  149.            more than one lines in a list box by dragging the mouse over those 
  150.            entries while mouse button one is depressed. Single entries can be 
  151.            selected or deselected by clicking the left mouse button while 
  152.            depressing the Ctrl key.

  154.            "Multiple" selection allows the selection of multiple list box 
  155.            entries by making left mouse button clicks, one at a time, on the 
  156.            list box entries.  Select a highlighted entry again to deselect it.

  158.           "SmartView" sets the default View operation of Zip Control to use 
  159.            the Work Place Shell's associations to determine how to View a file 
  160.            contained in a zip file. 
  161.  
  162.            For example, text files and icon files are associated with the 
  163.            System Editor (E.Exe) and the Icon Editor (IconEdit.exe), 
  164.            respectively, in the default OS/2 installation. These WPS 
  165.            associations can be changed by editing the entries on the 
  166.            Associations page of WPS objects.

  168.            In the example above, with SmartView enabled, a request to View a 
  169.            file which has a .ico file extension will display that icon file 
  170.            using the Icon Editor (IconEdit.exe). This is the same way that the 
  171.            file would be viewed if opened from the WPS or from the Drives 
  172.            object.

  174.            With SmartView disabled, the View command will use the View program
